Pop-out Windows
Detach sessions into separate windows. Perfect for multi-monitor setups.
Overview
Pop-out Windows let you detach any terminal session from the main window into its own independent window. Each pop-out window has full functionality - you can use Neuro Input, view pattern markers, access all keyboard shortcuts, and more.
Multi-monitor ready
Move pop-out windows to different monitors. Great for keeping logs visible while coding in another window.
Features
Full Functionality
Every pop-out window is a complete terminal. Use Neuro Input, keyboard shortcuts, pattern markers, and all other features just like in the main window.
Reattach Anytime
Pop-out windows can be closed to reattach the session back to the main window. Your session continues without interruption.
Independent Sizing
Resize each pop-out window independently. The terminal adapts its columns and rows to fit the window size.
How to Use
- 1
Right-click on a session tab in the main window
- 2
Select Pop Out from the context menu
- 3
The session opens in a new window that you can move and resize
- 4
Close the window to reattach the session to the main window
Use Cases
| Scenario | Setup |
|---|---|
| Log monitoring | Pop out logs to second monitor while coding |
| Serial + SSH side-by-side | Device serial in one window, SSH build server in another |
| Reference terminal | Keep a session visible for copy-paste while working |
| Multiple devices | Each device on its own monitor for parallel debugging |
Pro tip
Pop-out windows remember their position. Arrange them once and they'll open in the same spot next time.
