There is no telemetry, and from version 1.11 nothing checks a license. With local Neuro, sessions, prompts and documents stay on your machine. Update checks contact GitHub (on by default, can be turned off); the embedding model downloads automatically from Hugging Face when Settings opens with a local model ready, and choosing another model contacts Hugging Face. NeuroFlash log search sends your symptom and the lines being searched, with secrets redacted, to Jev in the cloud through OpenRouter only when you press Enter, after an estimated cost is shown. When Cloud AI is on, it receives prompts, terminal text, connection names and imported documents with secrets redacted, and idle summaries, the session journal and error explanations send automatically.
